Biographie
Saskia is the Director/co-founder of biomimicryNL (2010) and a Certified Biomimicry Professional with over 30 years of experience in marketing, change management, strategic innovation and biomimicry. With a variety of Fortune 500 companies, Saskia catalyses innovation by enabling others to explore life’s design strategies to develop new ideas into real business opportunities and value models.
As a vivid storyteller and systems thinker, she shares her passion for biomimicry and how learning from nature may help address the challenges our society faces today.
Through training, lecturing and consulting, Saskia proactively spreads the practice of biomimicry across various disciplines. She built a strong biomimicry network in the Netherlands and abroad, inspired thousands of individuals around Europe, and worked with hundreds of organizations, governments, schools and universities.
Stichting biomimicryNL, founded in 2010, is a Dutch purpose-driven foundation which shares the amazing ways that nature’s wisdom solves human problems in the Netherlands and abroad. We are the Dutch leader in facilitating nature-inspired innovation, biomimicry education and biomimicry training for professionals.
Motivations
My main motivation is to be better connected to the French and other European biomimics/ people with interest in the field.
To better understand what is going on, learn from each other, share resources and potentially partner up for largers European projects, essays etc. I’m a strong believer that by connecting we can accelerate our impact.
